Hi Huneybees,

Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas arrived early this year as Santa brought football hearthrob - David Beckham to our shores. As the Marina Bay Sands' Sands ambassador, he launched the holiday celebrations spending time with Sands for Singapore beneficiaries as well as unveiling the Festive Light-up that illuminated the entire integrated resort.

About 200 youth and children from Marina Bay Sands’ designated charities, Association for Persons with Special Needs, Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centres and Student Care Service had an exclusive, up-close encounter with Beckham and each beneficiary received presents contributed and presented by Marina Bay Sands Team Members.

When the night came, he joined Mr. George Tanasijevich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marina Bay Sands and the thousands of fans at the Skating Rink, as they launched the Festive Light-Up, lighting up MBS in white, green and red. Not just internally, even the bottom of the Skypark Infinity Pool and ArtScience Museum was lighted up too!

I was glad that I wasn't on the ground level, check out the fans when mad moment when Beckham arrived. He was looking stylish in his suit, but after watching the introductory video MBS had of him, I missed the clean shaven, blondie Beckham. Hehehehe...

To kickcstart the night's event, the cast of Mama Mia! treated us to a couple of their popular numbers. They have just had their opening night performance and it was amazing to have see them perform. You guys have got to go watch it at the MasterCard Theatres!

After a short Q&A session with Beckham and Mr. George Tanasijevich, 8-year-old Kayla joined them on stage, opening the treasure box bull of Christmas ornaments. After they have each hung up one on the Christmas tree behind them, MBS was officially lit up!

Sorry Victoria, but check out that ass! :X
As Beckham leaves the stage, the lovely children from Kids Performing Academy of Arts were easgerly trying to shake his hand.
The night ended with a special performance by Clara Helms, a finalist on ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ and talents from Kids Performing™ Academy of the Arts. They serenaded us with Christmas songs, ushering in the festive season. Guess we were only lacking in the snow.  I can't wait for December!

So, do drop by Marina Bay Sands to soak in the Christmas fun. Not only is it a beautiful photo backdrop, there are also events happening as you shop. I bet your kids will love these roving Christmas mascots....
