Alien Huang 小鬼 Flew Into Singapore For the Grand Opening Of Ground Zero

Hi Huneybees,

Ground Zero had their grand opening yesterday. Established by celebrity show host Lee Teng, he was joined by Taiwanese celebrity/host/singer - Alien Huang aka Xiao Gui at the grand opening ceremony.

Fans were on an all time high and have started queuing since the night before to catch a glimpse of their idol, Xiao Gui. And it went crazy when their car drove into *SCAPE, fans started pulling out their mobiles phones and cameras, screaming for their idol as the entourage rides down th escalator.

Both dressed in the exclusive AES X Ground Zero Logo 07 Tee (Black & White), the duo chose to open the store with a "Bang" as they popped' the confetti cannon. They have also left their autograph at the Ground Zero wall, so if you do pass by the shop, you can check them out.

During the short interview both of them shared that it was their common interest that got them together, the concept of the store and that they are currently focusing on the store before coming up with more future plans.

Xiao Gui was then showed around the shop, where Lee Teng shed some light on his toy collection. Hmmm, wonder if Alien will be placing an Iron Man here too?

After the whole media session, it was time to "reward" the fans! Those with the photo cards were allowed access to meet and greet with Xiao Gui and snap a polaroid with him for keepsakes. Every fan was grinning from ear to ear when they walked out of the shop.

The first 2 lucky fans!

Congratulations to Ground Zero!

The Fray Led 1,759 Fans Toasting To Arthur On Guinness Arthur’s Day

Hi Huneybees,

Last night 1,759 fans came together for the celebration of Guinness Arthur’s Day for the second time in Singapore, with double platinum record artists The Fray. Singapore joined over 55 countries and an estimated 1.7 million people across the world to celebrate the fifth year that Guinness Arthur’s Day has been celebrated globally.

The Arthur’s Day celebration was set up in 2009 to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the original lease at St. James’s Gate, Dublin – the home of GUINNESS.

Partying in a specially constructed pint-shaped concert arena at The Promontory@Marina Bay, guests at the concert enjoyed an epic set by the Denver alternative-rock band, and were also entertained by local band Ellipsis – winners of the ‘Play on the Day’ competition who kicked off the night’s revelry.

Opening their sets with their popular songs -  "Syndicate", "All at Once" & "You Found Me" got the fans high singing along to their songs and during the first song, the Guinness Arthur’s Day backdrop came down to reveal a transparent screen that allowed for views of the illuminated Marina Bay and the breath-taking Singapore skyline, making it all so romantic and intimate...

The Fray also led the the huge crowd of fans and invited guests in the signature toast to “To Arthur”, celebrating GUINNESS’ founder Arthur Guinness who was distinctive, bold and epitomizes the concept “Made of More”. "CHEERS TO ARTHUR!!!"

The band, who are in the mixing and editing stage of their fourth studio album, even performed a sneak peek of the upcoming album, debuting for the first time outside the U.S., much to the audience’s delight! Their new songs "Hold My Hand" and "Wherever This Goes", were thrown into the crowd-swaying mix, along with their award-winning tunes "How to Save a Life", "Never Say Never", "You Found Me" and "Over my Head (Cable Car)", amongst others.

At the concert, the table of mystery Singapore-specific artifacts that were hidden at the GUINNESS by the Decades’ Exhibition were also revealed. I didn't know they even had flask memorabilia manufactured! It's amazing how extensive the collection is....

For post-event updates about the Guinness Arthur’s Day Concert, fans are reminded to visit the GUINNESS Singapore Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Guinness.SG
GUINNESS should be enjoyed on Arthur’s Day, and any other occasion, responsibly.

Kate Spade Saturday Is #THEBESTDAYEVER !

Hi Huneybees,

On Friday, I was at the bright sun shine-y event that announced the arrival of Kate Spade Saturday. It is the younger, wallet-friendly sister of Kate Spade. Channeling the carefree spirit of the weekend and bringing it to every day of the week with bright colors, graphic silhouettes, and bold prints. Putting its own spin on casual, Kate Spade Saturday creates product that is equal parts style and function, from versatile travel bags to go-anywhere dresses to smart lifestyle goods.

The brand will be opening its doors at ION Orchard (B1-27/27A) on October 26th, launching new items every Saturday. Your Saturdays will never be the same again and it will be #THEBESTDAYEVER !!!

The new multi-category brand offers apparel (including dresses, jackets, denim, T-shirts, sweaters, and swimwear) and accessories (including handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, watches, footwear, eyewear, and tech accessories), as well as tabletop and home décor items.

The bright yellow is welcoming and at the launch, we also got to see some of the seasons eye cacthing colours as well as the hologram pvc look. One that really caught my eyes would have to be the black and white graphical zig zag print. It was printed on wallets, cushions, tablet covers, wallets, etc. I think I'm definitely gona get my hands on them!

Kate Spade Saturday launched in the United States exclusively online at Saturday.com in Spring 2013, opened a pop-up shop in New York City’s Meatpacking District in July, and recently opened a store in Los Angeles this September, with plans to open select permanent stores across the U.S. by the end of the year. The brand first launched in Japan in March 2013 with a flagship store in Tokyo and an e-commerce shop at Saturday.jp and soon after opened four additional stores throughout Japan.

Taking an energetic approach to online and in-store shopping, Kate Spade Saturday offers engaging features for its customer such as new arrivals every week and curated product content. With this same spirit of innovation, the brand partnered with eBay in June to launch shoppable windows in downtown Manhattan, offering free 1-hour messenger delivery service within New York City, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a full month.

In its signature yellow retail spaces, Kate Spade Saturday has designed a unique store experience that celebrates the social side of shopping with friends, while creating a seamless, grab-and-go experience. Customers are encouraged to relax and hang out as much as they are to browse and shop.

At the in-store customization station, customers can combine a wide variety of colors and patterns to create their own version of the brand’s signature Weekender Bag. There's so much combinations to it, I bet you will have infinite fun coming up with your very own Weekender Bag!

Excited for the store to open? I know I am! I almost wanted to run away with this tic-tac-toe mat. It's so fun and whimsical. I want it on my wall ~

The first Kate Spade Saturday store in Singapore will open this fall at Shop 27/27A, Level B1 at ION Shopping Mall, 2 Orchard Turn in Orchard, and will be accompanied by the launch of an ecommerce site, Saturday.sg.
