Come Add More Skips To The "CP Skips for Good Food 2015" Community Campaign To Help The Needy

Hi Huneybees,

There are times when I turn to instant frozen foods when it comes to cooking. It can be pretty crazy whipping up a meal in the kitchen and of course, turning to "helpers" is inevitable and time saving. My favourite is CP Foods' range of food products, as they are not only fast to prepare, but also nutritious and high in quality.

But this time, I'm not introducing you to their food, but rather to their latest campaign to help raise food for the needy!

CP Foods and South East Community Development Council (South East CDC) has recently launched the "CP Skips for Good Food 2015" community campaign. This is to raise and provide food assistance for the needy living in the South East District in Singapore with CP pledging to donate $90,000 worth of food hampers for 3,000 beneficiaries, residents and families by garnering 5 million skips.

List of Beneficiaries
  • Bedok Radiance Senior Activity Centre
  • Friends of the Third Age
  • Tembusu Senior Activity Centre (Finale)
  • THK Senior Activity Centre @ MacPherson
  • Tung Ling Community Services

Currently 2,856,328 skips have already been collected in more than 40 schools and organisations that have signed up. But to hit the target, CP Foods and South East CDC are hoping to get the support of the public as well in this good cause.

Yes! You can also do your bit by:
  1. Through an online pledging movement with a skipping related post on your Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #CPSKIPS . It will contribute to the total skip count.
  2. Through participation of the Singapore Books of Records Challenge at the closing of the campaign on 23 May 2015. *See below
Singapore Books of Records Challenge
The campaign will conclude on 23 May 2015,
at the OneKM shopping mall, with 2 Singapore Book of Records Challenge lasting for 12 hours:
  • Most number of people that have skipped in a continuous 12-hour relay
  • Most number of skips by an individual in a continuous 12-hour relay
The target for the two records is 230 skippers and 35,000 skips by an individual respectively. You can register your interest here --- Register for Singapore Book of Records Challenge . The first 50 members of the public to register and participate at each of the following time slots (10 am - 12pm / 1pm - 3pm / 4pm - 6pm / 7pm -9pm) will be given a sporting item worth over $50 each.

Of course, you can also come on down to cheer on the participators as the finale at OneKM shopping mall promises exciting entertainment for all ages! For more information, go to www.cpbrand.com/sg or www.facebook.com/secdc.

In addition, schools and corporate partners that are interested to lend your support during this campaign can contact Ms Raine Ong, Assistant Manager (Community Projects), South East CDC at +65 6319 8728 or email her at Raine_ONG@pa.gov.sg.

Looking forward to see your skips and lend a helping hand to this campaign.
FIGHTING!!!!
