[Travelogue] Introducing Bintan Lagoon Resort

| |
Hi Huneybees,

During my 2 days trip in Bintan, Hubby and I stayed at the wonderful Bintan Lagoon Resort
Their amazing hospitality began right at the ferry terminal. They had someone holding a signage with my name at the arrival hall, and chauffeured us in a car to the resort, making us feeling like a VIP upon arrival.  When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by dancers, as well as Ms Imma and Mr Joni from the WeCare department were already standing by to welcome us and prepare for our check in.

A nice cold drink in the warm water was such sweet gesture.
I had my celebrity moment when I was whisked into the resort's lobby and felt great honour when I was told that the GM - Adil Naeem wanted to greet me. Totally on cloud nine!

So, before we were brought to our room, we did a little tour for an introduction to the hotel suites that they have. Bintan Lagoon Resorts is  perched on the magnificent Pasir Panjang Beach, overlooking the majestic South China Sea. This Indonesian-style 473-room resort is sprawled over 310 hectares of manicured gardens, with a private, golden sand beach that stretches nearly 1.5km.

With 2 golf courses and more than 30 sea sports to choose from, you also could enjoy 20 on land activities such as tennis, soccer, volleyball, archery, darts, table tennis, gym. Everything is available within its premises, so convenient!

What's special about this resort apart from the above mentioned is the private ferry, which land directly at the resort’s doorstep. It's a more private and personalized service that I think is awesome!

Let's us bring you around the hotel, so maybe you can decide on which type of room best suits you!

The more basic room would be the Deluxe Rooms. You can choose from the Forest Facing or the Sea Facing ones. The view is different to accomodate to the different needs of each guest. For the Forest Facing rooms, they are nestled amongst lush tropical foliage, fragrant with blooming flowers and tall swaying trees in an oasis of peace and tranquility.

Enjoy a cup of tea on your private balcony or relax in soothing comfort on a king-sized bed or twin beds, and slip into the marble bathroom for a luxurious soak in the bathtub.

Or you can opt for the room that hubby and I stayed in. It's the Sea Facing Deluxe Room with a King Size bed. You can feel the light seabreeze blowing against your skin when you stand in the balcony and watch as the sun sets behind the horizon...

Next up is the Suite rooms. They are definitely more spacious and perfect for families to stay in. They have a living room area within to room and first up is the Swargaloka Suite

Indulge in the uninterrupted, soul-stirring views of the South China Sea, with a lounge, a dining area and an expansive balcony. An adjoining pantry contains a refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary bottled water. Custom designed mahogany furniture, elegantly upholstered seating and artisanal Indonesian touches are brilliantly expressed in the living area, creating a refined yet welcoming atmosphere.

A separate generously sized bedroom opens to a second balcony capturing spectacular views of the sea. A luxurious bathroom affords extraordinary privacy and convenience, with treats such as a Jacuzzi spa bath, a separate walk-in shower and marble top double vanity.

This beautifully carved wooden door leads to the Indraloka Suite, located on the fourth floor of the resort with n expansive balcony wrapping around the suite, it is the ideal venue to bask in uninterrupted, soul-stirring views of the South China Sea.

Opening the door, the welcoming sight of the custom designed mahogany furniture and the artisanal Indonesian touches in the living areas already made me feel like staying in. With the bar and  adjoining pantry (that contains a refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities), I bet the whole family would be spending alot of time in the comfort of the room.

You can also indulge and spend wonderful time in the generously sized bedroom that is linked to a separate walk-in dressing area, and a spacious marble bathroom with a separate bathtub and shower. The Indraloka Suite can be interconnected with a Deluxe Twin Room.

Next, we were whisked into the Floral Suites, which was at a quiet corner on the 4th floor and I would say this is perfect for couples on honeymoon, celebrating anniversaries and for those who simply want to spend quality couple time in private.

The red carpet leads to an exclusive area that's so peaceful and quiet. When you open the doors to the suite, the whole coziness sucks you in and in fact, it made me wana have a honeymoon again.

Walking into the bedroom, we were welcomed by a lusciously draped four-poster bed. The whole room is filled with sunlight and I must say the other selling point is the marble bathroom where a Jacuzzi spa bath overlooks the sundeck. Sea views captivate the imagination while you stretch out on a sun lounger to catch some Bintan rays and allow yourself the luxury of an afternoon nap.

Last but not least is the Forest Suite. We didn't get to take much photos as they were preparing the room for guests who are arriving the next day. The huge suite comes complete with your own wardrobe area, a King Sized bed as well as a kitchen area that leads to a back door exit. Forest Suites can also be interconnected with a Deluxe Sea Facing Room.

So, are you tempted? Craving for a relaxing weekend?
