'Lo Hei' With Children Of All Races at Singapore Flyer

| |
Hi Huneybees,

On a warm sunny Saturday, I was at Singapore Flyer celebrating Chinese New Year with over 40 underprivileged children from Kreta Ayer - Kim Seng Children and Teens Community Hub (CATCH) Programme.

The children were all dressed in traditional Chinese clothings and they also learnt about the Spring Festival traditions and practices at the Singapore Flyer alongside special guest - Dr Lily Neo - MP of Tanjong Pagar GRC .

Dr Lily Neo, MP of Tanjong Pagar GRC together with Mr Vincent Koh, founder of the Singapore Feng Shui Centre, sounding the Lucky Gong for good luck.
All of them enjoyed the Singapore Flyer ‘Lo Hei’ flight hosted by the iconic attraction’s CEO Patsy Ong and her Finnish World Cup Champion bowler husband, Tom Hahl.

"Involving the children from the CATCH Programme in the Chinese New Year celebrations by Singapore Flyer allows them to learn more about the traditions and practices of Chinese New Year and provides them the opportunity to experience the Singapore Flyer. Promoting social cohesion and racial harmony require collaborative efforts from our educators, students, parents and corporates. Singapore Flyer is commendable in its efforts in organising this event as part of their corporate social responsibility programme." --- Dr Lily Neo

While on board the World’s Largest Giant Observation Wheel, the lucky children had the
opportunity to ‘Lo Hei’ in the sky. Singapore Feng Shui centre founder, Mr Vincent Koh, shared stories with them about various Chinese New Year traditions and customs such as the significance of the reunion dinner.

The already ecstatic children squealed with excitement when Ms Patsy Ong and Mr Tom Hahl handed them personal ang pows with mandarin oranges.

After disembarking the Singapore Flyer, the children sang and skipped all the way to the
Singapore Flyer VIP lounge. They shared spirited stories with their parents who also took a
flight onboard the Singapore Flyer.
