Hi Huneybees,
So, if your company is looking to expand printing options together with your creative designs, maybe you can opt for the Fuji Xerox Color 1000i Press. I bet they will be adding much more fun and impression to your portfolio like these 3D paper goats Fuji Xerox had prepared for Chinese New Year!
My life is finally no more just about CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) with the all new Fuji Xerox Color 1000i Press! All thanks to this amazing industry production printer, you can have your name cards, greeting cards, calendars, mailers, flyers, etc, printed with Gold and Silver Dry Inks!
Yes, though having gold and silver printed on your products is already available in the market, but now with the dry inks instead of the usual foils, the gold and silver can shine through and reflect light better than the unevenly shaped toner particles like in the past. Check out this Chinese New Year decoration printed with the Fuji Xerox Color 1000i Press!
So, how does this Gold and Silver Dry Inks work?
At Fuji Xerox, a reflective pigment is created by adapting the Emulsion Aggregation (EA) method used to produce toner, thereby succeeding in developing Gold and Silver Dry Inks that are capable of the energy-efficient, low-temperature fusing achievable with EA-Eco Toner while having a high sheen.
With the conventional pulverization method, the toner particles are unevenly shaped and are not oriented consistently. Also, the conventional toner particles had pigment particles that were not completely contained within the toner particles and protruded outside, resulting in image defects due to insufficient charging and transfer defects from electricity leakage caused by the protruding pigment, causing it to be difficult for this toner to be used with the xerographic system.
Therefore, the EA method is here to orient the reflective pigment in the same direction to develop ellipsoid-shaped ink particles that can fully contain the pigment particles, allowing the toner to meet both the basic performance requirements of toners as well as the performance requirements for metallic printing.
This opaque, reflective pigment lets the highly metallic ink appear strongly against all coloured paper and media (including media that already has printed text, colored paper, and transparent film), without having the under-based colour show through.
During the media launch, Daniel Kwinter (Director of INGENIOUS DESIGN Pte. Ltd.) also shared that with this new technology, how the Gold and Silver Dry Inks can change the way we perceive the values of these 2 colours when used in printing and packaging.
Combined with CMYK, the Fuji Xerox Color 1000i Press offers businesses more marketing options, as well as to increase sales with such a high class and seasonal look.
The Fuji Xerox Color 1000i Press also offers the printing productivity of 100 prints per minute with media as thick as 350g/m, coming readily equipped with Full Width Array, which automates printing adjustments (color calibration, front and back alignment).
Using the FreeFlow Print Server and EX Print Server Powered by Fiery, digital data is able to be processed at higher speeds than the previous model thanks to the server's redesigned hardware and software, ensuring faster processing of high volume and variable data.
