Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience - Ready to Step Into His World?

| |
Hi Huneybees,

Imagine stepping into a painting and feeling what's it like to be in a
Post-Impressionistic world, flow in with the expressive brush strokes, smell the vibrant sunflowers, or sit under the stars and admire them as they dance before your eyes. Wouldn't it be amazing?

With cutting-edge technology, this can happen. This March, the highly-anticipated Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is coming to Singapore, where art enthusiasts like you and me are able to immerse in the works of one of the most celebrated artists in history. It has been a hit in other cities around the world, including Madrid, Beijing, and Seoul, and has received rave reviews from art critics and visitors alike and it is the exhibition's first foray into Southeast Asia, debuting at Resorts World Sentosa.

This 360° multi-sensory exhibition will bring Van Gogh's iconic artworks to life, featuring over 300 images of his paintings, drawings, and sketches, projected onto the walls of the 17,000 square feet exhibition space, accompanied by a carefully curated soundtrack. You will be able to walk through the entire space, experience the paintings up close and personal and see the brushstrokes and colors of Van Gogh's works in vivid detail.

One of the core highlights of this exhibition is an expansive central projection area where the digital projections are the most prominent, creating a mesmerizing space where you can sit and absorb the wonders of one of the most well-loved Dutch influential artists at every turn.

The Singapore edition of this exhibition will see the inaugural debut of two unique segments too - featuring a showcase of the traditional Japanese art style of woodblock stamps and prints as well as an authentic matcha tea ceremony.

These segments are curated as a tribute to the Japonisme art movement that had a strong influence on Van Gogh’s style. You will also get to experience and learn more about Japanese woodblocking and also the art of the Japanese tea ceremony and get to enjoy a cup after.

A whole suite of add-on experiences is there to complement your artistic journey.

  • Drawing studio Create or recreate an art piece in the drawing studio, scan it, and watch it transform into a larger-than-life digital representation that you can use as a photo backdrop.
  • A thematic cafe that offers Janice Wong’s range of pastries and sweet treats

  • Art Jamming Sessions
  • Exclusive Merchandises
