Go On A Food Trail With Liang Court This July

| |
Hi Huneybees,

Photo from Google search.
Liang Court has always been my go to place for all things Japanese, be it magazines, groceries or food, this is my favourite place to hang out since young. Call me old school, but I'm still pretty much a J-lover, I simply love my miso soup, sashimi-s and fair share of Jpop.

So, if you are a J-lover like me, be prepared as this July, you are in for a treat with Liang Court!

Every Wednesday from 17 July to 7 August, you can go on a food journey across 3 restaurants in Liang Court for just $30! The first one on the voucher is fixed, however, you get to choose the other 2 restaurants from a list of Dulcet & Studio, Marutama Ramen, Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru, Yakoiken, Okinawan Diner Nirai-Kanai, Saizeriya, Shin Yeh, Tamoya, Tanyoto and Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen. Ending the treat with Thristy - The Beer Shop with a free beer (worth $6.50) for every participant.

Note: Participants under the age of 18 will not be able to redeem the beer but will receive a can of non-alcoholic drink instead.

Take a look at what I had during the media preview and I bet you will be rushing down to Liang Court on 17th July...

First stop: Tamoya. Located at #01-32 of Liang Court, this store offers Udon the fast food style. It is the first overseas outlet by Sanuki udon champion - Tamotsu Kurokwa.

Normally it is served with you choosing the soup base and the ingredients to add into your udon. But for the coupon, the set comes with a Large Curry Udon accompanied with Prawn Tempura, Fried Chicken and Chikuwa Tempura. I have to say this is the best udon I've had so far. No wonder he is the champion!

Next stop, we headed to Tanyoto. It serves Chinese cuisine, mainly hotpot, but for the coupon promotion, we tried something spicy, almost numbing my lips and tongue. That's the whole fun in have spicy food right?

The set includes a singles portion of Tan's Fish Head with Pickled Chilli (That's the powerful one. Be careful of fish bones...) and any of the 2 of these 3 dishes - Minced Meat Dumpling in Chilli Sauce, Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles and Sichuan Dragon Soft Dumpling. You are definitely in for a treat at Tanyoto.

The final stop at the restaurants is Ryoshi Sushi Ikeikemaru. Tucked at the corner next to MEIDI-YA, this gem of Liang Court's basement serves up amazing sushi with unique ingredients like the Otoro, uni, raw cherry shrimps and abalone at an affordable price.

At the restaurant, I just can't stop snapping pictures of the sushi going pass me on the conveyor belt. I wonder what the promotion set looks like...

Oh, it was definitely a treat! My favourite food all dished right in front of me! There's 3 types if fresh sashimi, an assortment of tempura, garden salad, miso-marinated tofu topped with uni, 5 pieces of sushi and a dessert of fruits and kanten.

Do not miss this bento set as you definitely have to try this tofu with uni. It was a refreshing taste and definitely nothing I've tried before. The portions of the bento set is pretty big, you might want to share it with a friend.

So, here are 3 introductions to the promotion sets that comes with the coupon, simply come and dine every Wednesday or gather you friends and purchase more coupons to share good food. I know I am all set to get them. Are you?

This food trail is part of the Oishii @ Liang Court 2013 celebration. There are also programmes lined up for the whole month for you to enjoy more of Japan.

Iwate Wanko Soba Challenge
