Hi Huneybees,
Mr. Alam Shah landed a job as a construction supervisor at an interior firm, after working for 4 years in Singapore as a manual labourer. It was looking good until the sad news of cancer shattered his dream of going back to Bangladesh for his bride.
Doctors gave him less than a year to live, if the disease was left untreated and his benevolent employer - Archetype is now trying to raise funds for his medical treatment (estimated to cost about S$100,000). This would cover for his cancer treatments, follow-up care in Bangladesh and to help his ageing parents financially as well.

On 3rd October, he had seizures and went into a coma and he underwent surgery after being diagnosed with Stage 3 brain cancer. But that was only 40% of the tumour, Alm would still require radiotherapy and chemotherapy to try to stop the rest of the cancer from spreading.

Not only will they be using the company's profits, they also have Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (HOME)'s help in the fund raising. Brain surgery requires Specialists and the scope of work is estimated to cost more than $100,000 that includes the cost of treatments Alam might need after his operation. The company's insurance coverage of $15,000 was only able to cover his 3-day stay in the ICU. Though the company is willing to pay for his medical bills, they are still financially unable to cover all of it.
That's why the fundraising campaign will come into play. If you or you have friends who might be able to help, please donate online through this link: https://www.sggives.org/sggives_p_charitydetails.aspx?CharityID=d2447b27-ef89-450a-8abf-868711bdd83f
