Hi Huneybees,
DEPRESSION's Spring/Summer 2015 collection is screaming for you to unleash your "Inner Demon". Going by their signature monochrome colour scheme, this collection is more theatrical as designers - Kenny Lim and Andrew Loh mentions, they were thinking more of a dramatic fashion walk for their very first exclusive preview during Digital Fashion Week 2014.
Their show was pretty dark and gothic, even the styling has gone miles apart from the rest. It had that fantasy Twilight and Vampire Diaries moment going on. Chest baring male models, dark sultry smokey eyes, heavily sunken cheek bones with mile high styling for hair. *Drools*
Back to the outfits, I was highly intrigued by the print on the jackets and tops. Some might debate it as dragon scales, but the designers have verified that it was in fact close up of feathers like those of the fallen angels! The in-trend sports luxe fashion brings you to different occasions and the idea of layering is just right for the Singapore weather.
My favourite piece has to be this Ninja-Naruto-ish outfit on the male model. The whole mysterious feel is encompassed into this look and for those with electric eyes, this would be the one choice. Not only is the mesh top in-trend, once again, it makes a good layering piece.
Though arguably some might say the pointy hoods are a little too Halloween, I think the mesh versions make great accessories to go with the DEPRESSION outfits, maybe I'm bias coz I'm infatuated with hooded outfits, but what's your opinion?
Female fans of DEPRESSION would also be happy for find womenswear in this collection, dedicated pieces for just the ladies, without having to "share" the unisex pieces as what DEPRESSION always had.The highly favourited amongst the crowd was this dress made from different layering materials and that super sexy slit for you ladies to show off those long legs of yours ~
