[Review] Samsung GALAXY S5 LTE

| |
Hi Huneybees,

The Samsung GALAXY S5 LTE has been launched and I got the chance to play with the fifth generation of the GALAXY S Series

Launch event hosted by Liv Lo.

It is a sleek new device that is slightly smaller than my Samsung GALAXY Note 2 and featuring a perforated pattern on the back cover and a new sleek, contoured shape, the Samsung GALAXY S5 is here for the modern and stylish consumers.

Being IP67 Water and Dust Resistant, the cover has rubber lining on the inside, protecting the important componenets of your phone from the "invasion" water and dust. Even the coloured flip covers has it too!

Something to highlight about the Samsung GALAXY S5 LTE would be the Enhanced S Health. For users who want  a healthier lifestyle, you can keep track with a customised daily calorie intake as well as a comprehensive personal fitness tracker (pedometer, calorie intake and physical activities tacking, built-in Heart Rate Sensor).

Together with the Gear Fit and Gear 2, not only you can get simple notifications on your watches, you can also have them notifying you when you are exercising. Things like running faster, picking up the pace or slow down can be advised as you exercise together with the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The Samsung GALAXY S5 LTE has integrated with Fingerprint Security, where you can unlock your phone with a fingerprint scan to access the Private Mode to access your personal content.

Also, in partnership with PayPal, you can login and shop at any PayPal accepting merchant on the smartphone to do your purchases with a simple swipe of fingerprint as authentication!

Also, the smartphone boosts of a 16 megapixel camera, offering a fast Auto Focus at up to 0.3 seconds. You can take even much nicer photos with the advanced Real Time HDR (Rich Tone), reproducing natural light and colour with striking intensity in any circumstances.

You can also create bokeh photos just like a DSLR with the new Selective Focus feature, to create the shallow depth of field (DOF) effect...

Something buggering about smartphones these days is that the power keeps getting drained and just when you need the phone at that time, it just dies on you? Well, with the Ultra Power Saving Mode, you cam extend your remaining 10% battery life with up to 30 hours worth of standby time.

When turned on, the phone would be in black and white mode with just the simple essential apps (such as phone and SMS) available, all the unnecessary features will be shut down to minimize battery consumption. Yeah!!!

For the great papa-s and mama-s out there, you will be glad to find a Kids Mode on the phone. Well, so that they won't find some information that's not for them or even fiddle with your saved documents and messed them up.

The Kids Mode is like a all new system, with kids friendly apps and parental control. Also there are cute icons to keep the kids attention and I simply loved the "drawing pad" the most. You can even find some fun time doodling with your kid!

Psst, another great thing is the the GALAXY S5 LTE offers advanced LTE experience and Wi-Fi performance. Now you can have faster speed connection with the Download Booster, by bonding Wi-Fi and LTE concurrently. Content downloading can go up to 3x faster compared to when using with 4G or Wi-Fi only!

The Samsung GALAXY S5 LTE is also compatible to a couple of their new devices like the S Console for major gaming experience as well as the wireless charging dock!
