The latest? Therme Singapore - a massive S$1 billion next-generation wellbeing destination that’s about to transform the Marina South coastal area into an urban oasis. And this is not “just another spa.”

Therme Group, one of the world’s leaders in next-generation wellbeing destinations, has officially won the Singapore Tourism Board’s tender to build Asia’s very first Therme that's right by Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay (already one of my favourite date-night spots!). From the early concept descriptions, this state-of-the-art space looks like a luxurious fusion of lush botanical landscapes, warm thermal pools, world-class art installations, and cutting-edge health tech, all wrapped in biophilic, sustainable architecture. Designed in collaboration with DP Architects and Therme’s in-house team, the vision is undeniably stunning and future-forward.
But what really stands out to me is how this destination goes beyond pampering. Therme wants to create a welcoming space that brings people together by promoting community wellness, social connection, and holistic health for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re planning a family outing, a quiet solo recharge, or a cosy couple’s wellness date, this 4-hectare urban oasis aims to offer something for every mood. With an expected 2 million annual visitors at full capacity (half coming from overseas), it’s clear Singapore is embracing its role as a global wellness hub.
