If you’re looking for a weekend plan that feels festive, meaningful, and just a little magical, the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) has you covered.
Happening this weekend from 5 to 7 December 2025, Crossing Cultures at ACM: Endings and Beginnings invites you to slow down, reflect, and celebrate the transition into a brand new year - through games, food, performances, wellness rituals, and cultural traditions from across Asia.
It’s one of those events where you can drop by casually… and end up staying for hours. And the best part is that most activities are free!
What Is Crossing Cultures at ACM?
Inspired by objects from ACM’s galleries, Crossing Cultures explores Asia’s rich intangible heritage - from food traditions and craftsmanship to performing arts, wellness practices, and year-end rituals.
For one weekend only, the museum transforms into a lively space filled with:
-
Mahjong tables and game nights
-
Fortune reading and lucky charms
-
Fire and dance performances under the night sky
-
Hands-on workshops to reset your mind (and body) before 2026
It’s a beautiful mix of play, culture, reflection, and celebration that's perfect for friends, couples, and even multi-generation families.
