Hi Huneybees,
At the preview, M.A.C Makeup Artist - Alif Alwee showed us how you can work a little colour into your daily makeup routine, which is just what this collection embodies. Loving every product, sadly the lipsticks photos were corrupted and I can't show ya, but I will update this post again and here's the other swatches...
M.A.C Cosmetics is definitely upping their game this month with so many launches and tonight, they will be debutting their Vibe Tribe collection at Ngee Ann City, just nice for our too-close-to-equator warmth.
Sound and self-expression converge in the vast canvas of the desert. Lose control and imagine yourself in lips painted reckless shades of red and coral, or a flash of gold. Let your eyes escape reality in teal, cobalt, mandarin and charcoal, as free-spirited nails glisten in succulent tangerine and the perfect, buttery nude. Abandon control in online-exclusives Rio Grande Romance and Painted Canyon. Feel the vibe
Bright contrasting corals and turquoise colours with nude base tones and gold accents screams beach party/travel exploration ready with this tribal printed collection. When I saw the collection at the preview, I'm already out of control with the matt soft packaging!
A demo in how to use colours in our daily makeup by M.A.C makeup artist - Alif Alwee. |
For the eyes, we have 2 eyeshadow palettes which are very pigmented - Call of the Canyon that features gold and more neutral earthy tones as well as Wild Horses that has a pop of turquoise amongst the browns. I'm torn between both palettes, not sure which ones to get!
Well, if you are not for coloured eyeshadows and want to play it safe, there's always the Technakohl Eye Liners in Broque, Take The Plunge and Snowed In for you to play with. These pencils glide on easily and I love the little glitter sheen.
For cheeks, we are looking at natural glow with light shading and contouring. There's the Cream Colour Base for the little sheen highlights on your cheek bones, or for a little cheek colour, try the Powder Blush - Modern Mandarin.
But the highlight and my must get from the collection has got to be the Gleamtones Powder in Aztec-inspired pie palette. This shiny palette is good for bronzing when you picked out the individual colours or swril around for hightlighting purposes.
And speaking of swirling, you will need these brushes 125 Split Fibre Dense Face Brush and 127 Split Fibre Dense Face Brush for these brushes features 50/50 split of natural and synthetic fibres which allows application and smoothing of products as you sweep across your face.
In the middle is also the 228/226 Double Ended Brush that features the Mini Shader Brush on 1 side and a Small Tapered Blending Brush on the other. This brush will be great to have in your travelling cosmetic bags!
For those who likes to play with nails, there's 2 shades of Nail Polish to play with. I find the colours pretty common to find around, but the bottle designs might just sway my decision. The 2 shades are Skin (Nude) and Blazing Hot (Bright Orange).
Surprise! There's a part 2 to the Vibe Tribe collection!
We will get to have 2 matt bronzer - Bronzing Powder in Matt Bronze and Refined Golden, as well as 2 shimmering ones that had an embossed pattern - Studio Sculpt Defining Bronzing Powder in Golden Rinse and Delphic.
There's also a bright orange blush in the midst, perhaps to make up for the lack of the Bronzing Powder - Firebrush that's and online exclusive. It will play a strong contrast against the turquoise shades on your eyes.
Ok! Time for me to go get my beaded feathers ready for the debut party later.
Come grab it first hand at Ngee Ann City tonight or wait till 20th May where they will launch the collection islandwide.
