Celebrate Singapore's National Day with "Flavours of the Lion City" at Pan Pacific Singapore's Edge

Hi Huneybees,

In honor of Singapore's birthday, Pan Pacific Singapore's award-winning buffet restaurant, Edge, is presentig a special "Flavours of the Lion City: A Culinary Expedition Through Singapore" promotion from 9 July to 9 August 2024.

Led by Executive Chef Andy Oh, this buffet pays tribute to Singapore's rich cultural tapestry, featuring iconic local dishes like Peppery Teochew Bak Kut Teh, Braised Soya Duck with Yam Rice, Singapore Laksa with Baby Lobster, Teochew Steamed Local-Farmed Golden Pomfret, Nyonya Chap Chye, Kueh Pie Tee, and Popiah.

I'm a huge fan of laksa, and the thought of endless helpings with succulent lobster is irresistible! I also recommend trying the Singapore Hokkien Mee and Oyster Omelette – the authentic flavors and generous portions of ingredients make them a must-try.

Don't miss the live station where you can get freshly cooked Bak Chor Mee and customize your Yong Tau Foo with your choice of ingredients. This allows you to tailor your meal to your exact preferences for a truly personalized dining experience.

Singapore's Chilli Crab and Salted Egg Crab are legendary, and you can find both at Edge's buffet spread. However, I highly recommend trying the Salt Baked Fresh Mud Crab. This dish locks in the crab's freshness, and the slight saltiness perfectly complements the umami of the crab meat. It's a lighter option, allowing you to indulge in other delicacies without feeling too full.

For dessert, indulge in tropical fruits with a twist – try the golden Deep-fried Durian, Banana & Chempedak Balls. The light and crunchy outer batter perfectly complements the soft, custard-like filling inside. The natural sweetness of the fruit is intensified by the frying process, creating a warm, gooey center that melts in your mouth. This unique treat is a must-try for anyone eager to experience these tropical fruits in an exciting new way.

If you would like something cold, save room for desserts like the Chempedak Cake, Durian Pengat, Milo Dinosaur Panna Cotta, Lychee Bandung Compote Trifle, Kopi O Cake, Onde Lamington, Pulut Hitam Soup, Rainbow Roti Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Potong Ice Creams.

Don't forget to check out the refreshments at the Old School Pop-up Drinks Stall! They offer a variety of nostalgic drinks, including Iced Limau, Soya Chin Chow, and my favorite, Teh Tarik. For an added touch of celebration, you can also enjoy a mocktail version of the famous “Singapore Sling.”

The "Flavours of the Lion City" buffet goes beyond local and National Day-inspired dishes, featuring a diverse array of culinary creations and live-action stations highlighting the multi-cultural influences in Singapore. Enjoy specialties from Singaporean, Chinese, Malay, Indian, Japanese, Thai, and Western cuisines, along with an abundant selection of fresh seafood.

Gather your friends and celebrate the nation's birthday with a gastronomic journey at Edge!
