| |
Hi Huneybees,

Lee Kum Kee, a trusted brand for renowned chefs and homemakers, recently launched 3 new products - Tomato Ketchup, Pure Sesame Oil and Chu Hou Paste; adding to its array of premium products, such as soy and oyster sauces.

So, let me introduce the products to you...

Tomato Ketchup (SGD $1.25)
The Tomato Ketchup boasts a piquant tomato flavour, one that is richer than most existing products. This thick consistency is achieved by using only red, ripe tomatoes. Also, there are no added preservatives or colourings, so families can be generous with the servings. Not only can it be used as a dipping sauce, the Tomato Ketchup can also be used as part of the seasoning mix for beloved dishes such as seafood mee goreng or even chili crab!

Pure Sesame Oil (SGD $3.30)
The Pure Sesame Oil is made from natural white sesame seeds, The seeds are first lightly roasted, a process that brings out their unique and subtle flavours. During production, the full flavours of the seeds are carefully extracted and added to the oil. No chemical solvents or preservatives are added, Just a few drops of the sesame oil will lend an enticing taste to any dish, It can also be used to marinate meats.

Chu Hou Paste (SGD$3.50)
The Chu Hou Paste is a convenient cooking sauce, made from quality soybeans, garlic, ginger, sesame seeds and rice wine. It boosts a unique fermented soybean taste and fragrance. This taste first originated from South China and is best used for cooking, marinating or braising meats and vegetables.

With the launch, they held a bento making workshop with Ms. Shirley Wong, an expert at making kyraben (character bento boxes). She has a knack for making cute designs like Hello Kitty and My Melody. She incorporated the Lee Kum Kee's products into the process, adding the oomph to her ingredients.

At the workshop, it was all fun and she taught how easy it was to create a cute bento set, that I couldn't bear to eat. The steps were pretty easy and with heart and soul, everyone can create these lovely lunch boxes for their children or lovers...
