What is “30 by 30” food resilience goal
Singapore’s “30 by 30” food resilience goal, introduced by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), aims to strengthen the nation’s food security by producing 30% of its nutritional needs locally by 2030 — a major jump from the current 10%. As a country that imports over 90% of its food, Singapore faces heightened risks from global supply chain disruptions, climate change, pandemics, and geopolitical issues. This initiative is part of a long-term strategy to build a more resilient, self-sufficient, and sustainable food system for the future.

A Festival by the Community, for the Future
As Singapore moves toward a more sustainable and self-reliant food system, Flavours of Tomorrow plays an important role in introducing new possibilities to everyday eating. From plant-based proteins to insect snacks and cacao alternatives, the festival aims to make these futuristic ingredients feel both familiar and delicious.
Whether it’s through food sampling, live chef demos, or insightful conversations, festivalgoers will be empowered to embrace innovative ingredients — proving that eating sustainably doesn’t mean sacrificing flavour or fun.
Organised by CapitaLand’s Singapore Science Park, Innovate 360, and BLOCK71 (an initiative by NUS Enterprise), this festival is more than a food event — it’s a movement. With over 4,000 visitors last year, the organisers are proud to foster a collaborative space where startups, researchers, and the public can connect over a shared love of food and innovation.
