Dive into a world where food meets art at various locations across the island. Participate in hands-on craft activities and take photos alongside artistic visual displays and installations. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a food lover, or simply looking for a fun family outing, there's something for everyone.
Key highlights include Palettes of Joy at Toh Guan Park, organized by Bukit Batok East (BBE) Community Arts & Culture Clubs (CACC), where they will attempt to set a Singapore Book of Records for the largest display of food clay art models. For food-themed batik painting, Chinese calligraphy, and Wayang Kulit-making workshops, head to Punggol West CACC’s event.
Organized by the PAssionArts network of Community Arts and Culture Clubs (CACCs), this year's PAssionArts Festival 2024 theme, "Palettes of Joy," celebrates Singapore’s rich food culture through various art forms, connecting communities across 67 festival villages from July to September 2024.
Join in at any of these festival villages on 27-28 July (Sat-Sun) to celebrate the vibrant spirit of community, arts, and culture.

Punggol West Racial Harmony Day in Conjunction with PassionArts Festival

In Punggol West, immerse yourself in food-themed Batik painting, Wayang Kulit making, and Chinese calligraphy. The evening will be filled with live band performances, providing a perfect backdrop for these engaging art activities.

Explore your creativity through various art activities: experiment using coffee pigments to create interesting sepia artwork effects, design and decorate custom coasters, try canvas artwork by personalising your own tote bag, and experiment with food stencilling techniques. Enjoy musical performances by the Open Score Project, a five-member syncretic music ensemble, and a symphonic band performance by Nanyang Junior College.
27 July 2024, 7pm – 9.30pm
Bukit Batok East’s “Palettes of Joy” celebrates food and fruits through various creative and sustainable art forms. Participants can enjoy making hanging mobile art, folding paper origami, sculpting food-themed clay art, creating recycled art using bubble wrap painting, crocheting and participating in a fruit art-making family contest.
Witness the attempt to set a record in the Singapore Book of Records for the largest display of food clay art models and the "Gust of Sweet Harmony," a large visual display co-created by Artist Tay Swee Siong and residents. Be sure to catch the performances by local schools, residents, and the Bukit Batok Chinese Orchestra.

Start the morning with various creative art activities showcasing different materials and techniques. Participants can create intricate designs with food-themed paper quilling using strips of coloured paper, design and print unique patterns on tiles with food-themed tile printing, and use vegetables as stamps to produce colourful paintings. Additionally, experiment with coffee pigments to create sepia-toned art through coffee printing.
Enjoy performances featuring dance, cajon, and K-pop dance. Don’t miss the chance to snap a photo at a mural painting art installation depicting the past, present, and future of Sengkang West, measuring 23ft by 12.5ft.

PAssionArts Festival Village at Hougang CC is held in conjunction with Racial Harmony Celebration. Residents can explore various cultural crafts by participating at the art and craft booths. Jazz up jewellery with Indian Bangle art, explore printmaking on Chinese fans, and more. Be sure to taste something new as there will be a variety of traditional snacks to try, such as Putu Piring and Vadai, and cool off with a refreshing Cendol while watching various exciting performances. There will be a Best Dressed Contest, so do come in any of Singapore’s cultural outfits. Watch out for the Lucky Draw with prizes to be won, so be sure to join us!
