Hi Huneybees,

A upcoming glittery affair is coming onto our shores this April as the date draws closer to the Van Cleef & Arpels: The Art and Science of Gems exhibition. With a showcase of over 400 stunning creations from Van Cleef & Arpels and 250 minerals from the French National Museum of Natural History Collection, it is definitely not to be missed.

The tickets to this spectacular exhibition will go on sale 1 April 2016 and to read more about the exhibition, go to my previous article - http://huneyzworld.blogspot.sg/2016/02/van-cleef-arpels-art-and-science-of.html.

The Art and Science of Gems
With more than 100 years of history, The Art and Science of Gems is the largest heritage exhibition of Van Cleef & Arpels. Opening on April 23, this first-of-its-kind exhibition will bring visitors on a journey from the origin of minerals to the extraordinary craftsmanship that transforms gems into works of art. The exhibition will feature two complementing routes to showcase the intersection between the science of mineralogy and the art of jewellery making.

In keeping with the Maison’s tradition of transformability, stunning pieces to be featured include the Bird Clip and pendant, a unique creation that can be worn in three different ways: as a pair of earrings, brooch or pendant, as well as the zip necklace which can be worn as a necklace or as a bracelet. Blending art, craft, history and geoscience, this exhibition is interesting for everyone, and not just for jewellery experts and collectors.
