Sundown Festival 2012 Part II - Show Time at Marina Promenade

| |
Hi Huneybees,

The weather was merciful to the thousands of fan who turned up at Marina Promenade when the Sundown Festival 2012 gate opened at 5:30pm, on 1st December, considering the fact that it has been raining erratically for the few weeks.

The actual show did not start until 8pm with Korean boy band BtoB (비투비) opened the festival by performing their self titled song “Born to Beat” to their egarly awaiting fans.

The boys continued to charm their fans with several of their popular hits like “Secret (Insane)”, “Irresistible Lips”, “My Girl” and finally finished their performance with WOW”.

Anthony Neely (倪安东) was next to hit the stage with his single “Sorry That I love You” from his debut album “Lesson One” and followed by “Wake Up” from his latest album of the same name.

Anthony, who was bilingual in English and Mandarin, then sang “纏鬥” (Brawl) and “讓我愛她” (Dear Death). He did showcase his ability to play (guitar) and sing by doing a cover of “Hallelujah” before closing his set with 散場的擁抱 (The Last Embrace).

Jeno Liu Li Yang (刘力扬) was next and she sang a mixture of songs from her various albums such as “旅途” from her 2nd Studio album “旅途-心歌自選輯”,  Jeno also performed songs from her first studio album such as “眼淚笑了” and “我就是這樣”.

Well, the best performance of the night has to be given to the Japanese rock band Alice Nine (アリス九號)!

This band sent the venue rocking with its 2011 single “Heart of Gold” followed by 2006′s “Rainbow”. Judging by the number of heads banging in the mosh pit to the hands in the air in the area behind, the band from Japan definitely put up a performance worth remembering.

The final act of the day was without doubt my favorite Hong Kong singer-actor Raymond Lam (林峰)!!

Opening his set with “愛不疚” (Love With No Regrets), the theme song from “Moonlight Resonance”, the 32 year old mesmerized the audience with his vocal. Following up with a track from his 4th album “Come 2 Me”, Raymond serenaded “Morning Cute” to a fortunate girl fan who was prior selected to be on stage with him.

How I wished I was that lucky girl!!

Raymond ended his set as well as the eventful evening with “一刀切” from his 2012 album "Self Portrait”.
