[Tried & Tested] Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil

| |
Hi Huneybees,

I have heard raves about the Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil and was excited when I was given a 50ml travel bottle to try out.

Did you know?
“Your skin is endowed with many functions to preserve its beauty. The only thing it cannot achieve by itself is to cleanse. Only when residue is completely removed is skin’s metabolism fully activated, gently encouraging its natural beauty.” Cleansing with oil ensures make-up and impurities are gently removed in a single step, ensuring skin’s natural balance is not disturbed and providing a simple way to beauty.” --- Shu Uemura

Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil helps to improve the skin texture as it cleanses with a selection of  8 different botanical origin oils – Olive, Jojoba, Ginger Root, Corn, Soy Bean, Shea Butter, Safflower and Camellia, which were carefully selected from Chinese medicines and beauty oils all over the world.

These oils are proven to have the highest skincare efficacy for creating softer skin and the formula hydrates, conditions, and nourishes the skin from within. Here's a video on how to use and show how effortless it is to remove makeup.

I think one of the most shockingly misconceived notions about cleansing oil is the fact that people think it’ll leave their skin oily or that if they have oily skin it will make them even more oily after use. Well, that's not the case.

Yes, you are applying a thick layer of oil to your face but it rinses off easily and doesn’t leave behind any oily or greasy feel after use. Just 2-3 pumps of the cleansing oil and you can have freshly cleaned skin.

The Review

The oil seems a little thicker compared to other formulas but it does not mean it does not rinse off easily. Even my super waterproof mascara and eyeliner, comes off without much rubbing. I like how my skin feels so soft and smooth after using the cleansing oil.

Overall, the formula is excellent but for the price, I might have to consider a bit before getting it. It's definitely good to have if you use really waterproof makeup products...
