| |
Hi Huneybees,

The annual anime convention - Anime Festival Asia (AFA) - has arrived in Singapore!

This year AFA Singapore 2012 is held at Singapore Expo instead of Suntec, at Singapore Expo Hall 7 & 8, starting from 9 to 11th November.

We managed to catch a glimpse of the first year of the English Edition Cardfight!! Vanguard World Championship. The highly anticipated Asia-Oceania Championship Finals will be held at AFA Singapore on 11th November.

The main attraction for my hubby for the event will be the cosplayers as they are always an excellent subject for his photography. Guest Cosplayers like KANEME, Akatsuki Tsukasa and Judy will also be appearing at different time slots throughout the 3-day events!

Do attend the Grand Final of the Anime Festival Asia Regional Cosplay Championship (RCC 2012) on 11th November, Sunday, where top cosplay team from each participating South East Asian country will be performing and judged by a panel of distinguished guests!

Top anisong artistes, such as Sphere and T.M,Revolution will be performing at the Electric Groove: Anisong World Stage.

T.M.Revolution, also know as Takanori Makes Revolution, lead by Takanori Nishikawa, is the voice behind numerous popular anime song titles, including Rurouni Kenshin’s third ending theme “Heart of Sword (Yoake Mae)”, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Darker than Black, etc, etc...

Do you know that Sphere features in the anime Natsuiro Kiseki?

Sphere is an anime musical group that consists of four individually popular voice actresses from Japan

The group is made up of Haruka Tomatsu (戸松 遥), Minako Kotobuki (寿 美菜子), Ayahi Takagaki (高垣 彩陽) and Aki Toyosaki (豊崎 愛生). Sphere is the singing group behind opening theme of the 2009 First Love Limited series, titled "Future Stream", opening theme of Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaō, "REALOVE:REALIFE", etc, etc...

Other interesting attractions includes MOE Wonderland and Gakuen Royale High School Cafes, which have Bloggers and Models dressed up as high school students turned waitress and waiter serving snacks and drinks to paying fans!

Top Japanese record labels and management companies will also be setting up showcases during the festival, giving visitors a holistic view of the Japanese entertainment industry’s latest offerings.

Here is the list of AFA 2012 main stage highlights for the 3 days - 9th to 11th November - @ Singapore Expo Hall 7 & 8.

This Sunday is the last day of the event. Be sure to get there early!
