Hi Huneybees,
Tomorrow is the last day to catch the Night Festival 2012. I just passed by the Singapore Arts Museum and there was huge crowd still even at 12 midnight! So make it a date tomorrow to catch the Night Festival 2012!

The beautiful performers of Corredoras. |
31th August 2012, Singapore
– Some of the best of local and international
contemporary acts enthralled the public with spectacular
collaborations, as National Heritage Board (NHB) presented the final
weekend of Night Festival 2012 tonight.
|
Corredoras - Performers leaping through the air against a silver-foiled curtain as part of the Corredoras performance by Fuerzabruta. |
Night Festival was brought to a new high with
Fuerzabruta, presented by Argentina’s
Ozono Producciones. Three dazzling, never-seen-before acts in Singapore captivated the audience as performers danced and teased them in mid-air.
|
Mylar - Audiences interacting with the dancer through the suspended membrane of water as part of the Mylar performance at the Night Festival. |
Like graceful water fairies, dancers in
Mylar slid across a suspended transparent water-filled membrane that is 15 metres long. In
Corredoras, two thespians somersaulted and chased each other across silver ribbons of curtains, like dandelion seeds in the wind.
At SMU Green, the public was treated to an evening of
powerpop, dance beats, beatboxing
and cross-genre with HOMEMADE, a segment by a group of local musicians
who have come together to offer the audience a taste of local talent.
HOMEMADE is headlined by Shelves,
The Great Spy Experiment, DJ Koflow,
Kiat, Beatboxer Dharni,
Bruk Braders, Kevin Lester and
Bloco Singapura.
The Night Festival took place on 24th & 25th August, and will be putting on its final show tomorrow, 1st September
2012, at the Bras Basah.Bugis Arts and Heritage Precinct. Armenian Street will be closed tomorrow from 8pm to 2am, for the performances.
