Singapore’s 60th birthday is shaping up to be a year-long celebration of community, creativity, and connection, and one of the biggest highlights is making its way straight into our heartlands.
The People’s Association (PA) has just unveiled Giant Delight SG60 Edition, which is part of the annual PAssionArts Festival 2025. 18 massive art installations will pop up across the island from August 2025 to March 2026. This year’s theme, “Our Neighbourhood Gems”, shines a spotlight on the unique stories, places, and people that make every corner of Singapore special.
And the best part? These aren’t just your regular artworks; they’re creatively co-created with the community. Through workshops organised by Community Arts & Culture Clubs (CACCs), residents have been rolling up their sleeves alongside local artists, turning blank canvases into vibrant public art pieces that celebrate everything from playful otters in Punggol’s waterways to the colourful shophouses of Joo Chiat.
Mega & Mini Marvels Across the Island
The Giant Delight artworks is as unique as the neighbourhood in which it resides and come in two formats:
-
Mega Giant Delight – 5 large, district-level installations, each made of five interconnected hexagonal pods that can be arranged in flexible layouts to fit the community’s vision.
-
Giant Delight Installations – 13 smaller yet equally eye-catching artworks, each featuring a set of three structures: a hexagon, an octagon, and a prism tower.

Art by the People, for the People
Since July, more than 300 residents and students have been part of these creative journeys, not just painting, but adding 3D elements, interactive displays, personal photos, and treasured memories into the pods. This deep co-creation truly captures the Neighbourhood Gems spirit.
One example is the West Coast CACC’s Plate, Play, Pier: A West Coast Story, where it is a heartfelt mix of local food heritage, park adventures, and the district’s beloved seaside vibes.
