Why I’m Still Dreaming About My Traveloka EPIC Sale 2025 Picks

Hi Huneybees,

Staycations, Cruises & a Whole Lot of Unexpected Travel Joy with Traveloka

If you’d told me a year ago that I’d be obsessed with planning staycations just a few MRT stops away, or looking into my first cruise, I would’ve laughed. But here I am, post-Traveloka EPIC Sale 2025, still thinking about all the ways this one campaign unexpectedly reshaped the way I travel.

From April 22 to May 5, I, like thousands across Asia-Pacific, found myself glued to the Traveloka app. With discounts of up to 60%, it was a dream come true for anyone with a serious case of wanderlust. But what stood out to me wasn’t just the deals, it was how Traveloka helped me rediscover the joy of flexible, meaningful travel, right from my own backyard.

Staycations that Feel Like Escapes

I’ve always associated travel with passports and airport queues. But this time, I found myself drawn to places like Chinatown, Orchard, and Little India - not for a quick dinner or shopping run, but for an actual stay. Booking a weekend at a boutique apartment in Little India gave me the space to slow down and see a familiar place through new eyes.

And apparently, I wasn’t alone. Traveloka reported that Singapore-based travelers were big on local getaways this year, showing a growing love for the convenience and comfort of nearby stays. Hotels were still popular, but apartments and guesthouses were catching up fast, perfect for travelers who want to feel more “at home” even while away.

Cruises Are Calling - And I Might Just Answer

I never thought I’d be a cruise person. But during the EPIC Sale, I couldn’t help but explore seafaring holidays for the first time. The idea of hopping on a ship, unpacking once, and waking up in a new destination? Suddenly, it sounded kind of magical.

And clearly, others were feeling the same way. Traveloka noted a growing interest in cruises among Singapore travelers, which is something that signals a desire for slow, immersive travel that balances leisure with discovery.

It’s Not Just a Trip, It’s an Experience

Beyond where we go, I noticed a shift in why we go. This year, I wasn’t just booking accommodation, I was curating experiences. Attractions like Universal Studios Singapore and the SEA Aquarium saw surging demand, and I get it. There’s something about reliving childhood memories or sharing moments with loved ones that no hotel room can replicate.

I also loved how Traveloka spotlighted events and activities that went beyond the obvious, like the SkyPark Observation Deck at Marina Bay Sands. These little gems added magic to otherwise typical days.

Travel that Feels Like You

What really impressed me about this year’s EPIC Sale was how tailored everything felt. Whether you’re a solo adventurer, family traveler, or someone (like me) who loves last-minute plans, there was something for you. Traveloka’s push toward more flexible, experience-driven travel resonated deeply.

Vice President Baidi Li put it best: today’s travelers care about relevance, flexibility, and quality of experience, not just the price. And I felt that through every scroll, search, and booking I made.

As we edge closer to the year-end holidays, I’m keeping my eyes on Traveloka’s ongoing deals. Because if EPIC Sale 2025 taught me anything, it’s that travel doesn’t always have to mean flying far away. Sometimes, the most meaningful journeys are the ones that help you rediscover the world around you, and within you.

Whether it’s a quick weekend recharge or a cruise to somewhere new, I’m already planning my next escape. And honestly? I can’t wait to see where I end up next and share my experience with you....
