Embracing the cultural significance of the number "8" as the luckiest digit in China, the collection playfully incorporates it into denim, woven, knit, and jersey garments, as well as accessories. The assortment is completed with stylish and whimsical accessories such as a small pouch, card holder, baseball cap, and keyring, all featuring Lunar New Year dragon graphics through stamping or embroidery.



LOEWE JADE COLLECTION

Renowned for its exquisite beauty and enduring nature, jade held a significance surpassing even that of gold, symbolizing virtues such as goodness, intelligence, prosperity, and luck. LOEWE's Jade collection pays homage to the masterful art of carving, spanning from ancient to contemporary times. This assortment encompasses bags, charms, and fine jewelry dedicated to the intricate craftsmanship and diverse colors found in Chinese jade sculptures. The collection's campaign, lensed by David Sims, features Chinese actress and Global Brand Ambassador Yang Mi.


Jade, with its subtle hues, mysterious veining, and lustrous sheen, boasts a rich history in China, serving ceremonial, ornamental, and practical purposes for millennia. To mark the Lunar New Year in February, LOEWE collaborated with master jade carvers Xiaojin Yin, Qijing Qiu, and Lei Cheng. Each expert crafted a series of five limited-edition pendants, individually hand-carved and mounted on an 18-carat gold chain.


Xiaojin Yin's Emerald Green pendant, depicting a cabbage with a cricket perched atop, holds cultural significance as bok choy, a cultivated Chinese vegetable, symbolizes wealth and abundance. Qijing Qiu's Light Mauve pendant features an eggplant, believed to resemble a hat-wearing high-ranking official, symbolizing status and success. Lei Cheng's Spring Jade pendant, a pea pod adorned with a snail, carved from near-flawless jade, symbolizes fertility, abundance, and luck.


Extending the rare craft of the pendant series, LOEWE introduces a collection of Flamenco Purse Mini bags. Inspired by the hues of carefully chosen antique jade carvings, colors such as Emerald Green, Dark Brick, Spring Jade, Sugar Yellow, Dark Khaki, and Light Mauve grace these bags. The Flamenco bags, with their orb-like shape and ruched nappa leather, house a special inside pocket containing a precious ring of jade stone in a matching color, symbolizing good luck for the approaching new year.

Marking the occasion, the Italian fashion house pays tribute to Bubble and Bobble, the beloved dragon characters from the vintage Japanese arcade game created by Taito in 1986. The celebratory collection includes dresses, T-shirts, sweatshirts, bags, and shoes adorned with the cheerful twin brothers and their eclectic group of friends.


MAX MARA CHINESE NEW YEAR COLLECTION

Max Mara joyously commemorates Lunar New Year 2024 through an enchanting narrative featuring Max the Dragon and his faithful companion, Little Ted. Their adventurous journey unfolds in the scenic landscapes of Fjords and wildflower meadows. The wardrobe showcased draws inspiration from the traditional festivities of Chinese New Year, displaying a lively palette of red hues and floral prints evocative of Scandinavian wildflower gardens.

This selection is not only influenced by the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations but also draws from the captivating realm of "Scandidragon," the mythical hero in ancestral tales embraced by our stylish protagonists, Max the Dragon and Little Ted. From this harmonious blend of fashion flights and folkloric fantasies emerges a collection infused with the romance of fjords and the majestic splendor of Chinese New Year celebrations.

Max Mara presents a meticulously curated array of pieces in timeless black and vibrant scarlet. The lineup includes a short Teddy Bear Coat and other glamorous jackets in rich red tones, featuring linings dedicated to the Year of the Dragon.
