Time to flex those finger muscles of yours and get ready for a brand new gaming experience as tomorrow as we welcome the 2nd edition of GameStart 2015! Boasting of a 4,000 square metres space, this year GameStart 2015 returns with bigger and better than before experience.
From 13 to 15 November 2015 at Suntec Convention Centre, gamers can expect to see trial stands and demo booths across all platforms (PC, console and mobile). There are over 60 games (* including yet-to-be-launched games) as well as meet-the-producer sessions, show matches, eSports tournaments (Capcom Pro Tour Asia, Xtr3me3’s GameStart Champion’s Cup), the returning Game On!, Cosplay competition on top of exclusive promotions and offers for game bundles and show merchandise.
The very first thing I'm going to do when I reach there tomorrow is definitely to "plant" myself at the Star Wars: Battle Pod. With so many exciting Star Wars collaborations and additions, like the arrival of ANA’s R2-D2 aircraft at Changi Airport today, this Star Wars fanatic couple cannot miss out the chance on piloting the X-Wing Fighter through the popular scene where Death Star II was destroyed in Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

The Star Wars: Battle Pod is a standalone, dome-shaped pod which will house the player as he/she battles through five exotic and iconic battles within the Star Wars universe. While the hardware was manufactured in Japan, the entire game was actually designed in Singapore!
It will be on a first come, first serve basis over at the Geek Culture booth for these 3 days. What’s more, GeekCulture will be holding a contest, rewarding top scorers of the day with Star Wars goodies, including a special price for the top, prevailing scorer at the end of GameStart 2015. Of course there are other highlights to thrill us and that includes the chance to experience the PlayStation VR headset (*the first time for the public in Southeast Asia), go back in time and satiate your nostalgia at “Retro DNA” - a section where fans of old-school games can check out vintage game consoles and arcade machines (Ryu's Hadoken **joystick forward + punch**), or purchase official Blizzard merchandise from Blizzcon 2015.
With returning partners like Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong (Singapore Branch), Bandai Namco Entertainment, Blizzard Entertainment, Capcom Pro Tour Asia tournament and home-grown companies Armaggedon, IMBA Interactive, Kinetiquettes, Witching Hour Studios and Xmashed Gear; together with new partners this year - Taipei Game Show (Taipei Computer Association), Singapore Gamebox by Games Solution Centre, Warner Brothers Games, Funplus, Obutto Singapore, Saint Games and Simply Toys, you are bound to be complaining time is not enough. LOL!
