The pop-up store was held to celebrate the new collection and the story of Jack Purcell being a ‘Sneaker in a Brown Shoe World’. Shoes are boring, wear sneakers dares you to put away your boring formal shoes and put on a pair of kick-ass sneakers instead. Be that individual who wears sneakers instead of formal shoes for your 9-5 job.
The Jack Purcell Duck Boot is also restyled to feature a soft, premium leather body with a reimagined camo interior, a camo foot bed and an accessible heel tab for easy pull on/off comfort. Retailing at SGD$99.90, the boots come in Brown and Navy.
Tempted to get yourself a pair too? From September 13 to October 4, Rockstar will be running a special in-store promotion dubbed ‘Upgrade Fridays’. Customers who walk in wearing their formal shoes can ‘upgrade’ their footwear to a pair of Jack Purcell sneakers with a 10% discount.

Last Friday, when I stepped into Rockstar (by soon lee) I was greeted by smiles. A thick navy blue line that curves upwards on the Converse shoes were signature of the Jack Purcell Converse shoes and it's no difference for the new Fall 2013 Jack Purcell Collection.

The array of Jack Purcell LTT Ox in Venice Brown, Chilli Pepper, Drizzle, Navy and Beige was super eye catching that day. With it's signature smile, I bet everyone (guys and girls) can enjoy a day of comfy walking in these soft distressed canvas shoes. The Jack Purcell LTT Ox is retailing at SGD$109.90.
The Jack Purcell LTT Ox Leather has also a more suave addition to the family. Being a slimmed down version of Converse classic Jack Purcell, the LTT still retains all the original features that made the shoe an American icon. One that I'm eyeing on would have to be the colourful Hudson’s Bay Company x Converse 2013 Jack Purcell Collection.
Coming together for a refreshing take, Converse teams with North America’s longest continually operated company Hudson’s Bay for a two-part collection of Jack Purcell sneakers. Utilizing the unisex Jack Purcell Duck Boot and the women’s Helen silhouette, each model incorporates the Canadian clothier’s signature wool point blanket stripes for an ultra blend of heritages.
The iconic wool used on these sneakers has been dyed before it was spun together, then air and sun dried to brighten its colors. While the boot rendition features a leather collar and heel stay, each pair is further built with threaded stitching, antique brass eyelets, as well as the Jack Purcell and Hudson’s Bay logos on each foot bed.
