Brunch At The New Quayside Saint Pierre

| |
Hi Huneybees,

Saint Pierre has officially shifted into the attractive and idyllic precinct of Quayside Isle at Sentosa Island. Veering away from the usual over-priced French Cuisine dining scene, Chef/Owner Emmanuel Stroobant and Chef-de-Cuisine Daniel Grobnik has come together to provide high-quality French Cuisine with affordable price points. They are focusing on organic produce as well as seafood and vegetarian options for patrons.

The main change to the menu would have to the Saturday Brunch. I got to try the Saturday Brunch out before the restaurant is officially opened and all I can say is combining delicious food and great ambiance, Saint Pierre is my new fav for brunch dates with hubby.

Chef/Owner Emmanuel Stroobant
The kitchen of Saint Pierre.
Available every Saturday from 11.30am to 3pm, the brunch menu revisits classic breakfast mainstays with a twist. I like that with the price of $38++ per person, you can enjoy the full set of refreshing fruit choice, main course, assorted bread basket and a cup of warm coffee/tea.

With the dishes as the main stars, the design of the restaurant was kept simply elegant with earthy and soothing tones, allowing maximum sunlight in whilst we dined by the pier, watching yachts come and go.

Introducing a few dishes that we tried that day. And as mentioned, when you order the set menu, you will get a basket full of homemade assorted breads - Brioche, Croissants, Breads, paired with homemade jam and farmed butter and a dash of salt to wake up those sleep taste buds of yours.

The Eggs Benedict - Eggs, Brioche, Iberico Ham, Champagne Hollandaise, would have to be one of their signature must-haves. Eat it while it's hot and your mouth would a melting volcano of egg yolk that tasted well with the slightly salt-ish Iberico Ham.

If you are not a fan of Eggs Benedict, you can also try their Scrambled Eggs or Eggs Florentine.

My favourite would have to be the Beef Parmentier - Homemade Corned Beef, Mashed Potato, Truffle Brunoise. Served in a palm size pan, the soft mashed potato that melts right in your mouth, tasted heavenly with the beef and truffle slices. It's a luxurious meal for the morning and I'm loving it.

I also shared the Smoked Salmon (Home-Smoked Salmon, Sourdough, Wild Chives and Lemon Juice) with hubby. We are both fans of smoked salmon, but nothing beats the one done in Saint Pierre. You can still taste the "charcoal" in the salmon slice and the lemon juice enhanced it even more. However, I find that to have this as main course was a little too!

P.S. There is an optional choice of adding 30g Schrenkii Malossol Caviar for an additional $118.

A dish that you can't find it elsewhere, would have to the Waffle. It is no ordinary syrup top waffle. This comes with Foie Gras Mousse, Apple Compote and Vanilla Beans! A 5 star breakfast dish that I got to try at Savour 2012 and 2013, which I never fail to have. The foie gras together with the sweet apple compote is not overpowering and in fact, I never feel sick eating them!

If you are fans of cheese and looking for something light to start the day, you can also have the Goat Cheese or Cheese Platter, paired with nuts, fruits and arlettes.

After the hearty brunch, I even got to take a walk along the marina, whilst hubby indulged in his photography. The Quayside Isle is a great place to really chill out and relief all the stress you have bored throughout the week.

Another new permanent addition to the Saint Pierre menu would hae to the English Sunday Roast. It is a all-you-can-eat semi-buffet that offers patrons a selection of 3 choice roasts and a variety of salads and sides, as well as a dessert spread to end the meal.
